RELIGIOUS ART | NEWS OF WEEK
ALPHA OMEGA ARTS
By Gregory Disney-Britton
Between the last two Sunday's, we cruised on the Royal Caribbean where gallerists introduced us to masterworks by major contemporary artists including Christian artist Romero Britto. His fusion of Pop Art and Cubism has made him the leader of a new art movement, and his work has been exhibited at the Louvre and other major museums worldwide. His collectors include the Guggenheim family, the Rothschilds, the Kennedys, and now the Disney-Brittons own a giclée too. This week, Britto was listed at #178 on Artnet's Top 300 artists along with Matisse and Picasso, and that makes Romero Britto's "Divine Blue" (above) our NEWS OF WEEK.
